Basic red 12 (magento) is a cationic dye, a class of synthetic dyes acting as bases. These basic dyes are widely used in the textile industries, acrylic fibers manufacturing and many other industrial applications, such as printing on paper, flexo inks, crayons and dyeing on fibers, textiles, silk and wool. Spectral data: The steady-state fluorescence maximum for an aqueous solution is at 560nm (RT).
