Category: Fungicides
Triazole compount that is a plant growth regulator that functions by inhibiting cytochrome P450 707As (Ki = 68 nM), a family of enzymes that catabolize abscisic acid (ABA), and suppressing gibberellin and sterol biosynthesis. Additionally, it is a DMI-fungicide (DeMethylation Inhibitor), through inhibition of C14-demethylase, which is important for sterol biosynthesis (erg11/cpy51). Sterols are needed for membrane structure and function, making them essential for the development of functional cell walls. Compound can be used as analytical reference material.
