Category: Metabolites
Pentoxifylline (PTX) metabolite. Can be used as reference material. Showed platelet aggregation in whole blood in vitro. Shown to be more effective than PTX in protecting WC/1 murine fibrosarcoma cells from TNF-? cytotoxicity and in inhibiting neutrophil superoxide anion production, degranulation (lactoferrin release) and surface expression of the ?-2 integrin CD11b/CD18.
