Acetamiprid is a neonicotinoid insecticide that acts as an agonist of insect nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs). Formulations containing acetamiprid have been used to control sucking insects on crops and pets. Acetamiprid-d3 is a deuterium-labeled analog of acetamiprid with similar activity. This stable isotope-labeled compound contains three deuterium atoms and is commonly utilized as an internal standard in quantitative analytical methods, including LC-MS/MS and GC-MS assays for pesticide residue detection, environmental monitoring, food safety testing, and pharmacokinetic studies. The isotopic labeling enables accurate correction for sample preparation variability, matrix effects, and instrument fluctuations, improving the precision and reliability of quantitative analyses. Acetamiprid-d3 exhibits physicochemical properties nearly identical to those of the native compound while being readily distinguishable by mass spectrometry.
