Potassium Ionophore III (K+ Ionophore III) is a ionophore used in solvent polymeric membrane electrodes for the assay of K+, especially in body fluids. It has been used to study the transport of potassium ions across cell membranes, as well as the effects of potassium ions on the activity of enzymes and other proteins. Additionally, this ionophore has been shown to increase the uptake of potassium ions into cells, which can lead to increased cellular metabolism, growth, and developmental processes.
