    Description
Phenyl-phenanthridine dye with a large ?-conjugated structure and strong luminescence. Used in the synthesis of rigid polyamides and fluorescent probes. DNA intercalator. Used as a chromatographic affinity ligand for the specific separation and purification of supercoiled plasmid DNA (pDNA). It has been investigated for its anti-tumor and anti-viral properties.
