(-)-Gallocatechin gallate is a catechin polyphenol that has been found in green tea extracts. It has been shown to have diverse biological activities, including antioxidant, antiallergic, antiobesity and anticancer properties. In addition it has been shown to have antibacterial and antitrypanosomal effects.
